I see what you mean... I believe that would have looked better for this type of animation. Honestly, if i had of thought about using that technique, it would have most definitely been used for this anim. thanks for the advice.

The smear doesn't quite look right to me. I think it'd look better if the smear were instead done by duplicating the platform for a frame, like this, sort of.
