The flame looks like it's not hand pixeled and/or uses semi-transparency, hence the insane amount of colors. This is usually frowned upon hereabouts :S
It's also problematic because it's surrounded by black in the preview; I guess that's why you added a white bg to the main view. You will have the same problem in the game as gif format doesn't support semi-trans.
You could use a-png format if you want to keep it semitrans, or make it true pixels =)
Also in case you wanted to make this your av (re your comments elsewhere): PJ avs are 64x64 max.
Nice! Im gonna get twitter for pixel dailies ^^ they should join pixeljoint and get their contests in there that would be great we'd see plenty of new people in here :)
(Got off subject)
I will definitely be promoting your game :)
Thanks I am glad you are excited for the game! This is my first game and first time animating and doing pixel art so its really exciting to me! Do you mean is it ok if you make videos about the game? If so, yeah that would be amazing! Any kind of promo is great! We are also on Facebook and Twitter. www.facebook.com/WarpPath www.twitter.com/WarpPath
This game's gonna be amazing! As long as it gets some love and upfates ill be playing it for sure btw will I be able to make videos about the game?
Pyxel Edit helps a lot with tiling and animation. In Pyxel Edit you can play frames in the corner while you draw. So you can see if the pixel you just put down works or not. Check out the website, it has great videos www.pyxeledit.com
Thanks for the kind words. Yes there are lots of problems with the video/game... there will be a lot more art assets and the healthbar will be super thin on enemies and will only appear once you shoot them... thats my plan anyway. We'll see if it works well.

I was always using the basic Animation tools in Photoshop and I'm pretty happy about it. Can you tell me more about this pyxeledit ? Why it's so awesome?:D
I looked at the youtube video, and the game looks awesome. Only issue I have with it is those big red bars denoting health; I don't know if they are just in there for the pre-alpha, but they really take away from the game's immersion/aesthetic.
Ok thanks for now ive been using that free gimp software ill definitely check that out :)
Its gonna be a randomly generated adevture/sidescroller shooter. Here is a video I made a few months ago. We've come along way since this so I should probably make a new one soon. https://youtu.be/_p59NK47K9M
Thanks so much I really appreciate it. This is actually the first thing I ever animated. I used pyxeledit which made it sooo much easier. I would suggest checking it out www.pyxeledit.com it was the best $9 I ever spent.s

The animation looks really smooth and natural, I really like it!
Looks great! What kind of game is it gonna be? Run and gun I'd say :)
Thanks for the info! This is all hand done without any brushes... is transparency frowned upon? These frames are all PNG in game and look fine. Maybe I did something wrong when I uploaded it as a gif. Thanks for the avatar info as well, I appreciate the help. If you want to check out the game here is an early video https://youtu.be/_p59NK47K9M
