Congrats vrine!
Almost expected you to already be a mod with how active you are here ♥
haha I know.I already know the rules, the next step is to consider what to draw or how to cooperate with other people. And free time(But it's almost the Spring Festival holiday, maybe I should take advantage of it...)
Might be a good idea, I'll have to read the rules first.
I wonder if there are any bigger events in PJ before April Fool's Day?
I also tried Fixeljoint yesterday. The upgraded comment box is really nice. And that favo feature, I don't have to create a new tab to mark favorites.
alternative rating buttons turned off, i see the rating boxes again now! thank you, hapiel
q: so how do you rate pieces with fixeljoint enabled? i don't see an option anywhere below the pieces
Don't know who's going to post a new weekly challenge today.
oof I knew he hadn't shown in a while but I hadn't heard about his loss, feeling immensely sorry. I wonder if his family knew a bunch of us love him so.
I always wondered what happened to Jal, but was always too afraid to ask out of respect. I hope he's okay out there :(
Tomic is still active on Twitter, as recently as January 5th. He has not been responding to my emails however..
My biggest concern is that he might've passed away. The idea that he wanted to go fishing kind of reinforces that... I really hope this isn't the case and that he just isn't on the internet at the moment for whatever reason. I miss jal.
I had also asked about Jal too. It has indeed been far too long.
I was one of the last few people to talk to jal before he disappeared. He said his niece died that he was going to turn his phone off for a week and go fishing to clear his head. No phone, no internet, no noise, just him and his thoughts.
No one's heard from him since. I've tried to contact him multiple times, I've even used his emergency work emails, no response.......
Only reason I keep coming back here is in the hopes maybe I'll see him again. But it's been 6 years at this point...
Nobody knows.
There have been some efforts of a few people on PJ to find out more about his sudden disappearance... To no success unfortunately.
Speaking of, I wonder where's jal. Haven't seen him since 2016. Guy gave me lots of advice when I was starting out. Would have been happy to show him how I've improved... Hope he's doing well.
The only theme I ever used is Sping Green. Because one random day jal hacked my account, changed it to that, and I never really changed it back cuz I love him and thought it was funny.
Very refreshing, low-saturated colors. Now I use it too.
What PJ theme are you using now? I use Red Fuse, which looks warmer. It's so cold in winter.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Looks like Secret Santa came early this year, I've been putting off looking at them until today! They all look amazing.
You persisted for 20 hours. But now you can comment as much as you want, looking forward to the day of 9999.
At least 3 times I started typing in a comment box and then deleted my comment again when I realised it would change my count....
So how long can you stay silent not to mess up this beautiful number?
Hi there, I just wanted to let you guys know about my comment count 8)
Thank you, now I finally know what that setting does.
PJ is in Pacific time. But you can set your time offset in your profile!
Time zones are a very difficult thing for me. I've always wondered what time zone PJ is in.
Thanks! I am GMT, so that still might as well be the whole day. I'm not planning to submit at the very last minute (fingers crossed).
Central European Time (CET). If I'm not mistaken you're GMT, so CET = GMT+1.
For Secret Santa, which time zone is the deadline in?
My guess is Pacific Standard Time based on the weekly challenge, but I might have messed up the maths.
I try to publish more complete works, and within my means, I try.
That entirely depends on how much time you like to spend on an average piece! Fifty sprites is easy. Fifty sprawling environments with animation, not so much!
In terms of rank, I think the requirements for the number of works are relatively low.
Comments deffo the hardest, number of pieces the easiest as it eventually just adds up. Ratings... ratings are like power level, grinding stuff. Not necessarily hard, not necessarily fun to do in large amounts
it's not like i'm commenting too much, it's others commenting too little!
i actually find comments to be the hardest... unless one comments on absolutely everything. which never was my style.
Comments and ratings are the easy part, IMHO. Getting your number of pixel pieces up is much harder. Unless you do pixel dailies, I guess.
I want to become a whale shark. That's the level 9 icon. That means I need at least 94 days, 300 + comments, 2000 + ratings and nearly 6000 points. There's a long way to go.
Compared to your ratings, the number of your comments is even more shocking!
Congrats!
