Pixel Art Challenge: April Fool's Gallery III

Well it's that time of year again...

Go to another member's PJ gallery, study their pixels, and fool us into thinking that that person made it.

No copies, only 100% original work.
Think style, technique and artistic sensibility.
You must name the pixel artist in your submission.

No real rules this week but find the parameters set by the artist you choose.
This applies to general size, color choices and don't forget to pay attention to preview icons.

Also have a look at the previous two April Fool's Gallery Challenges [1] [2]

(Yes, this is the real Weekly Challenge!)

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

Haha this looks fun! I hope  I can make it

Antiboton (Level 8 Odds and Ends) @ 4/1/2009 12:25

WTH?! April's Fools is causing a chaos in PJ!

Purple and yellow hurt my eyes... PJ looks like a NERD's flavor. And the avatars were fucked T-T.

Squirrelsquid (Level 4 Rubbish) @ 3/31/2009 15:33

I'm in :3

Larwick (Level 8 Regional Boss) @ 3/31/2009 14:36

Antiboton (Level 8 Odds and Ends) @ 3/31/2009 06:27

Is hard to parody a style that belongs to another person.

vampireslug (Level 5 Detective) @ 3/31/2009 06:05

I hope I can pull this one off... slightly more pressure than a regular challenge IMO.  Still, as long as anyone can recognize off of whom I'm basing my piece and as long as the artist inspiring me doesn't want to kill me, I think I'll be okay.

Club Beuker (Level 5 Detective) @ 3/31/2009 04:28

Not if you're me, I'm like style-blind or something. If I copy something I want to give it a little twist so it's mine instead of a copy (same with styles).

Hapiel (Level 11 Bonsai) @ 3/31/2009 04:00

It is easier to copy ones defined style than making one your own often.

Club Beuker (Level 5 Detective) @ 3/31/2009 00:47

Ugh.. I'm already having trouble defining my own style, so how am I supposed to copy another ones style? *shakes head*

x-death (Level 6 Serial Killer) @ 3/30/2009 21:47

quake: i personally don't like these challenges, because i over tried this so many times before. but if you wish to get an overall feel hepersons style, look at there saturation levels obn like 3 peices or so, and then look at if they rely on hue-shiftying and if so by how much. and then you will have a better idea on how to acheive it.

if you take there palettes, yes it is ok, but people are less likely to vote for you.

tripnfelt (Level 5 Rokkyu) @ 3/30/2009 21:44

I'm probably will heavily insult whoever I choose to try and imitate.

Saporion (Level 3 Enforcer) @ 3/30/2009 21:03

but i wanted to do the pillow shading challenge.

Metaru (Level 8 Brigadier General) @ 3/30/2009 14:39

I already have someone in mind.

Scarodactyl (Level 8 Ruby) @ 3/30/2009 14:30

This has gotta be one of my favorite challenges.  I hope I end up having time this week.

Hapiel (Level 11 Bonsai) @ 3/30/2009 14:12

Thanks for giving me great ideas Zenobia! I think ill use the style you used in your cool tiles :p

Zenobia (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 3/30/2009 13:52

I might pretend to be a pillow shader. Should be plenty of examples to follow. :ninja:

Antiboton (Level 8 Odds and Ends) @ 3/30/2009 13:49

Much better than the pillow suka effect.

MashPotato (Level 7 Underboss) @ 3/30/2009 13:25

I really hope I'll have time to enter this round, these are always lots of fun.  Watch out, _______!

skeddles (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 3/30/2009 13:08

Look at the entire artists style, of their whole gallery, don't just pick one piece and make it similar. Cause that's what happened the last two times. It's annoying.

skamocore (Level 11 Dolphin) @ 3/30/2009 12:55

@Quake: Do what you feel is necessary to achieve the style of your chosen artist (except ripping or editing their work!). So yes, if you feel that you must borrow one of artist's palettes, you may.

@Shawn: Sure. It's always ok to enter multiple times.

Shawn (Level 9 Federal Agent) @ 3/30/2009 12:40

Can I enter more than once? The April fools challenges are my favourites.

Quake (Level 2 Hired Gun) @ 3/30/2009 12:25

can we use their colours, or do we need to make our own?
