True enough, true enough. You're the expert here anyway. When I look at the anim now I only notice if I really try so it's fine as it is. No one will notice... unless they read these comments

It definitely looks lots better now, but there's still something bugging me just a little. I think it's because said spikes are relatively symmetrical and fan-shaped, which is what throws me off and hurts the fluidity. Here, for example, this surrealist painting:

Note the slight angle of the splash and the lack of symmetry in the lines. But I'm just GUESSING at what's bugging me here, and it's STILL a nitpick. Maybe I'm just spike-racist? I only notice when I look at the frames individually anyway.

It's pretty good buddy, but the lines of the splash at the bottom are just a little too straight, which gives a feeling of a spiky ice spell rather than a watery "sploosh" thing. Just a little nitpick, though, you only notice if you stare right at it for a long while.

Thanks. They're heavily referenced from the Streets of Rage character "Skate". I kept hesitating between regular skates and rollerblades, but in the end, roller blades look a little less friendly and cute so I went with that.

This is a very interesting redesign of an already fantastic design. The only problem I can see is that you limited your palette a little too much. So I guess yeah, too much saturation. You'd need some wacky colors that are totally different to offset the rest in some areas.

Once he's animated, he'll be doing a creepy air piano thing with that hand, and opening and closing the other one. He's a creep show.

I suppose if I said that was part of the point it would make me seem like a jerk who can't take criticism, huh? I really did struggle with how much I should change them: chipset limitations are so ingrained in me from playing all these games that I feel like things look "off" if I can no longer tell who is a headswap of who, and there is the desire to keep that classic beat-em up feel... on the other hand, I don't have chipset limitations, so there's no real reason to hold back on originality and detail... Maybe you could call it an artistic constraint? Probably not.
