It was so much fun seeing this come together on DIscord. You've done a great job. The animation looks great and this has such good atmosphere. I love Halloween and spooky vibes and this ticks all the right boxes and has a lovely, magical feel.

Zephyrine: Thanks so much. Looking through your gallery, it looks like you're quite a fan of purple! I'm aiming to have the palette on Lospec around the end of the month/early June. Just completing a set of portraits with it to use as an example image.

Yeah, that's crazy work on the eyes! They look very alive.

Very beautiful composition and colours. The animation adds a lot to the atmosphere too.

The gnarly textures on the bug look great. I really like how tight and cohesive this feels.

This came out really well and I agree that the palette is shown off particularly well. Very nice rendering, especially on the nearest shoulder.

That cute bat is absolutely stealing the show.

This is genuinely nightmarish in its surreal weirdness, but I mean that in a good way. Really creative entry!

This little guy is great! Love the super-dynamic pose and the great balance of detail.

Nice decision to have this echo the motifs from your previous challenge entry. It looks great and is such an interesting little world to get lost in!

Great vibe! I love the choice of colours and the character design. Spooky fun stuff like this is my jam

This is such a fun concept to test the palette with! It reminds me of this weekly challenge to draw umbohr.

To repeat myself a bit from the stream, I love the way you've used the colours in this. I just have one WIP test image and it's so different. You've used them in a much more creative way, and I love the use of the blue. I've always been a sucker for using blue as a skin tone but I don't think I've ever done it in pixel art. I also like the oil-pastel feel this has.

Another really interesting pose and angle! The details are so well rendered and beautifully brought to life. You've deployed the more saturated tones so well.

I really like how the hair came out! My favourite elements are the pose and how you've rendered the hands. Such an interesting and characterful pose to draw and you've nailed it.

Nice work on the palette too, pixelglade. It looks so good. The blues and cyans are so nice.

Xarss: Thank you!

I drew a grid and a few of the details I wanted in a square the same width as the helmet and used the spherize tool in Photoshop to create a guide. I think Krita has a better tool for creating guides for odd perspectives (Photoshop might these days, but I'm using CS5). I also looked at a decent number of photos of astronauts and sportspeople in visors.

I was actually surprised there wasn't greater distortion when I started but I just went with it and I guess Photoshop knew best.

pixelglade: Thanks so much! The palette was originally intended for portraits (albeit not realistic ones) so I was pretty curious to see if I could use it for something else.

The two-tailed king rat/mouse is so adorable (but I wouldn't say that to their face).

Such a fun idea and the mountain rendering particularly came out wonderfully. It was fun seeing this progress!

This is such an interesting concept. I love how it captures such a different feeling to the other entries that have been submitted so far. The greens, purple and brown look so good together, and the crisp ligne claire style is lovely.

I need to get a thesaurus out so I don't just comment 'adorable' on all your pieces. But, for now... adorable!
