Emugifs is one of the finest collections of sprite art out there on the old inter-net. The site is Italian, but it's just a bunch of game titles and game graphics anyway so it doesn't really matter. You can find sprites from all sorts of platforms - NES, SNES, NEO-GEO, M.A.M.E. (arcade games).
