Create a scene using the palette shown below - a mash-up of both the Virtual Boy and Game Boy palettes:
The theme for this challenge is desolate.
Canvas size - Unrestricted.
Colours - Exactly 4. Use all of the colours from this palette:
Transparency - No.
Animation - Optional.
Dr D : that's ludicrous, how do you function on a machine like that? those two colors are not particularly close together.
Then just pretend it's one red and dither them together.
I just finished mine and I think my eyes are bleeding on the inside from staring at that red. Pretty sure the Virtual Boy was banned from society when they found it didn't comply with the Geneva Convention.
I dare someone to make a single ramp out of these colors.
Those 2 reds are 110% undiscernible on my laptop monitor. =[
Don't have much callibration options, unfortunately.
These colours are great! I wish I had time to do this properly.
These colours are pure evil!
Free palette though, can't complain :D
"A song of pixels and unrestricted canvas size", by Mrmo Tarius
The palette seems very challenging, can't wait to see what people will make of it
@TrojanMonkey
exactly. what are the restrictions on the theme here. I looked it up. Can it depict any of the 4 or just the first 2?
desolate | |
— adj | |
1. | uninhabited; deserted |
2. | made uninhabitable; laid waste; devastated |
3. | without friends, hope, or encouragement; forlorn, wretched, or abandoned |
4. | gloomy or dismal; depressing |
The world is your canvas.
I'll try this time again :-) Practice makes mastering, or not.
So, an extremely old-school scene which depicts empty spaces or the sentiment of emptiness...
Considering the pallete, I can only assume everyone is going to make a pseudo post-apocalpytic scene at sundown.
Yeah, both of them originally have more colors, but who needs that when you got TWO reds and greens already?
