The only gripes I have with it are the highlighting on the round roofs (looks a little flat) and the sea floor doesn't really look like it's under water since the colours are indistinguishable from the surface.

| | robotriot @ 6/21/2009 11:23:27 AM commented on Velvet monkey I did just like you described, and it doesn't work for me. The filename is spelt correctly, there's only one Firefox profile where I put it, so that can't be the mistake either. Here's a screenshot: http://elitepigs.de/trash/usercontent.gif

Nice use of dithering though.

 | robotriot @ 5/14/2007 12:09:35 PM commented on Älgaråsgabber I like the way you've got depth into the greenish structure on the right, looks very organic. Dithering is very good as well. However, I think you could have done more with the colours. Right now you've got three seperate monochrome areas on your image. A redish face, a grey/blueish body and headphones, and a blue/greenish background on the right side. These areas are just a little too seperated for my taste, if you know what I mean.

 | robotriot @ 4/5/2007 8:10:42 AM commented on The Showdown Nice timing, fluid animation and motion blur. Speaking of timing, there's one thing which doesn't look perfect yet imo: I think the blood gushing out of the body ends too abruptly; it's lacking the dynamics of the rest of the animation. You could leave it like that, but add a second, smaller, spurt of blood coming out afterwards, that would help I think. Anyway, keep it up :)

 | robotriot @ 3/25/2007 5:47:59 AM commented on An old box I like the texture you achieved, looks really old and used. However, I'm not sure if you need the outlines. Especially around the grey tape, they don't seem to contribute much to the image. Especially on the top, they're really hard to distinguish from the main colour of the tape.

Yea, it's a little jagged here and there, plus the palette could be a little more interesting I think. Overall, it's very nice though, great work!

 | robotriot @ 2/20/2007 4:08:51 PM commented on game over, mr jones Cool, nice attempt at imitating the BMP Bros style, very recognizable. However, I think the palette lacks contrast, that would definetly help bring in the metallic look those games had. The brightness just seems to be a bit too evenly distributed over the piece.

 | robotriot @ 2/19/2007 4:36:51 PM commented on Nissan S13 in the Mountain Roads I don't know, but the only thing that looks truly pixeled is the car body itself, the tire and road look like they were colour-reduced, with all that random noise in them. WIP/reference would be nice to see here ...

 | robotriot @ 2/19/2007 6:08:58 AM commented on My pimped out ride? This is certainly the best one of those iso cars that I've seen lately so far! Nice shading you've got going there. However, there seems to be something odd with the proportions, I think it's the tires, they're too large.
