Damn, man, I missed it. Not missed actually but saw the preview, decided it's a rip, then was checking in a rush, calming down and moving further...I wasn't reading neither author nor description. Nice surprise :)

Although the thing is round, we can see the most important parts of the dragon, thats tricked out. The dithering of this one is really perfect. Great work.

You did well defining the bulges and keeping the perspective. Making all the tassles show the direction of the balloon is also a nice touch. And of course, the design is just beautiful. Top work!

I think you prooved yourself wrong, :D it looks amazing with the aa. This convinces me (alongside that one from miascuf that aa belongs in iso.

good stuff. the scale of people to balloon size is a bit off. Aa makes isometric pixel-art look better.
