This is so good on so many levels. Very skilled.

Contrast between foreground and background isn't that bad. Especially when animated and things are moving around, the difference would become very discernable. Only crit is add one more highlight shade to trees, but you already know that.

I think I'll play as Walter. Where's the Start button?

Thanks for the comments, guys. I originally made this on a laptop with kind of a shitty screen, which is why it turned out so contrasty and saturated. I tried to adjust that before I uploaded it here on pixeljoint, but it seems its still too much for some of you. To me it looks fine now (zoomed in, that is), so it's hard to make any further adjustments before I get a chance to view it on a few other screens.

i think mockup is pretty much messy at 1x, I agree with -DE- about the contrast.

You need contrast between bg/sprites, man. And I don't mean x1 contrast, x3 contrast!

What I mean is that sprites are generally well done, but the bg is a) too busy, b) has too much contrast between brightest and darkest shades. The floor is the worst. It's so detailed it blends with the characters - you need to drop some (most) of those dark lines and let it flooow.

Apart from that I believe the tree on the right needs some work. The canopy is rather pillowy.

But overall it's great. Just watch the contrast between planes and aim for the stars! ^o^

It's busy but in a good way. Although there is a lot to take in, each character stands out. Great scene, atmosphere and details. In short I love it.

The background and characters look great. My only problem is that I think the characters are just a little too bright. It just looks too busy for me, I can't focus my eye the second I see it.
