Nice depth. Good job! The piece gets boring after a few seconds though. The background has no other cliffs on the horizon. Seems like we are at the brink of this alien world. The sand should have 1 more shade to it, just like the reddish cavewall. The slime could luminate light, making them have the lightest shade from the bg as outlines? Your dithering actually looks good. Hmh...

Very easy to read =) Usually gameboy-mockups fail at it. They are made too detailed even with the fact the screen is so small. I just wondered why the floors would not have a darker lineart. Would make it even easier to read :/ Hmh...

I'd count on it that the palette is same as yours in that one. He's also gotten comments about his works being sums of different styles that just are under the same palette. Hmh... Are you working on any game project btw? With your animal graphics the game would rock even with a simple coding :P

If you're familiar with Paper Mario -sprites, that is what I mean as seeming flat. Right hand seems to be just the sleeve sticked onto his chest. This is because the sleeve is as dark as the chest. Anatomy is not relatively unapprovable, but the muscles are way too distorted.

Again, the palette is great though! Concentrate on anatomy. I suggest having real people as reference, then later move onto distorting bodyparts from a realistic scale. This way you can make it work.

Shading is good at some points, but i.e. the grass on bg is really poorly shaded. The farther edge on the cliffs could use AA. Keep to the smooth AA and simplistic shades.
