I will definitely keep the hue in mind in the future. I see what you mean about the transparency now. Weird.

I used MSPaint to do the actually pixel work then used GIMP to convert the file.

 I also realize now that I have read the forum rules again that I should post things in the WIP. I mostly posted this piece here because it was the only pixel piece I had. It is a finished piece since it had a purpose and that purpose is fulfilled. I wouldn't even have done it if my husband hadn't request it. Thanks for the great info, though I am going to say, "Toodles", to Mushy and perhaps post something in the forums.  ^.^

 I looked at your edit and it's definitely an improvement on the shape. This was meant as an icon for my husband's programming project. I wanted the colors to be simple..er..subdued? Is there a way to lower the palette count without high contrast?  On banding I read some stuff the other day that helped explain what that is, but is there a way to keep the shape while improving the banding? I don't understand the transparency comments. o.o

This is so beautiful. There is so much to take in. The water is especially lovely. I love try to see all the little people and what they are working on.  Thank you for making this. It's so much fun to look at! I see all the tower roofs are a different design as well.   <3

 Awww! I love it! The way you used to yellows and magenta is beautiful.

 The calligraphy is the most amazing thing to me in this image. It seems like you put a lot of work into the lettering.

 The G is hard to read. They are super adorable.

 The detail and size are mind-boggling. My favorite parts are the textures on the planet in the background, the tail of stars around the figure's waist,  the tiny ankh, and the tubes coming in from the left side of the face. Overall it's an impressive image with odd symbolism.

 The Bunsen burner and bioluminescent jellyfish are my favorites. Number 2 has amazing lighting on the building and characters but the pinpoints of light in the sky seem uniform in size and distracting. 

 I love that nautilus. 

 Regardless, you can't go wrong with 80s hair and awesome shades.

 Reminds me of Roy Fokker from Robotech.   :D

 I love those trees in the background.

 The detail on the tank itself is awesome, but the background completely absorbs my attention. I love it.

 The Beast Rider is my favorite of these. His design is simpler and the colors flow smoother.

 This is wonderfully done.  I will have nightmares having seen it, but it is awesome.

 This reminds me of a velvet painting.
