The sky doesn't change. The huge celestial object the moon is, just never seems to change it's place in sky. It shaking around would add a camera wobble effect, but I didn't really want that.

 It ends fast because he has to get the gun up. I don't think it starts fast, maybe it's unexpected, but why would he waste time?! :D Well, it's not a completely finished thing anyway. I'd still need jumping running etc.

You should probably get the castle parts a little "dirty" to show that it isn't floating above the mud. Removing the shadows would probably help too.

Disregarding the floating castle defect, the piece looks great!
