yoshi...lol I like it.  If this was for a game and you needed to stay within a certain area the feet switching sides would be fine I think as the effect is clear.

 I agree the animation should be a bit faster to make it look more natural.  But the colouring and shading is excellent.  Perfectly suited to the style.

 thanks for the links Manupix I should have looked for examples to help me out.  I was going for something that would surprise viewers and I was hoping the contrast would give the piece a comical feeling.  Mostly though I was experimenting and for a first try I was pleased with the results.

 This is great.  I have one comment: the left side of the ax handle should start as wide as it is going behind the cat on the right.  It makes it look like a toothpick right now.  But thats being really picky. lol
