I'd like to suggest lightening the outline around the leaves of the tree, as it seems too dark and gives an unfinished look compared to the polish of the rest of the scene.

Also, the color palette gives off a cheery and happy atmosphere, so you did a great job with it.

And to your edit: I personally like the roots at the bottom. Maybe add more lighting and shape if you don't think they look correct?

This is so adorable I just can't think of anything to say over the noise of my heart squealing. THAT ANIMATION

Ohh, I like the sparkle! It's an exciting touch, and reminds me a bit of the festivity of Christmas lights. You might want to consider adding a third/fourth frame for variety, but as it is it's quite nice. I like how the 'eyes' change between frames too, though it's hard to notice until you zoom.

I'm not sure if this will help, but two things I thought were strange were the row of pixels at the top left of her hair which only appear for 1 frame (looks jarring) and the way her fingers stretch out, which makes the arm seem too elongated at that split second.

The wings also have a strange positioning during the flap, but I don't study insects so can't give any advice there >__<

Thank you very much for your extensive critique! You've caught a lot of the things I was stuck on while making this. The hand was indeed supposed to be palm-up, but you're right that the angle of it is off. I'll make some edits to her legs and hand, and hopefully they'll have a more correct shape afterward.
