your color palette is so lush and painterly!

 thanks!

i dunno, i really like the color choices. they're unapologetically saturated & pop arty.

so cool. i love the way all the smear frames look together. so frenzied!

cool pose, very fluid. and i love the color palette you chose. those warm purplish shadows look nice.

my only critique is that silhouette could be cleaner. the horn on its head forms a weird tangent with the back wing, and it was a little unclear what was going on there when i first looked at it. if the front wing wasn't touching its leg, that might help too.

awesome!! so smooth, and you fit so much character into the animation. i love the way the dainty lil head scratch contrasts with the broad swinging arms.

haha, i wonder why that might be? maybe the colors contrast weirdly at actual size, but it matters less when it's large?

either way, i reuploaded with a 400% enlarged version next to the original.

ah, cool patterns in the light & shadow. i love the color palette too.

thanks for the draw over! i see what you mean about clarifying the pixel clusters, it looks cleaner that way.

i'm accustomed to acrylic and digital painting, and i think i went into this pixel portrait thinking in terms of brush strokes and opacity when i should've been thinking about clean shapes and how to best use a limited palette.

ah well, just need more practice. :)

thanks for the feedback, everyone.

hot dang, thanks for the critique! i tried out your suggestions and i gotta say, it does look cleaner without my halfassed dithering. the only places i left it in were the hair and the sleeve furthest from the viewer, because it's not too noticeable but it looked weird without it imo.

made her skin peachier & tried to make the black outlines make a lil more sense too.

lemme know what you think!
