Thanks for the comments :)

The background is using 2 layers parallax scrolling, so I dont think they are too much of a readabilityproblem. About where the character is standing, there will be a water surface (currently not there because its supposed to be animated), which hopefully makes the sudden change to blue ground a bit more selfexplanatory ;)

Got a bit of inspiration from http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/26854.htm ?

reduced + upscaled != pixel art.

If you consider that an insult, I guess you never have been properly instulted by someone :D

I thought the lack of volume and depth was intentional in your style (more extreme in "Cyborg Charlie Got a New T-shirt") which comes from picking light sources near the viewer, which makes charlie seem almost pillow shaded but with more detail. As you have proven with "Wrath Be My Name" that youre able to create a better impression of volume if you want to, I considered it what i described a stylistic choice.

I know Dan Malone's work and also know speedball 2. The similarities to speedball 2s artwork, especially its sprites, is visible to me. Thanks for explaining :)

I dont see anything chaos engine about this. Every portrait I can find in that game conveys much more volume than this piece does. I can see a certain amiga style going on here, but I just cant seeem to fing whats particularly chaos engine about it O_o

Very undercommented piece ;)

Great work with the restrictions, some more black in the blue area would have made it a bit more obvious that its glass that we're looking at, but nice nevertheless ;)

Paint doesnt compress gif files properly. Thats because it uses a fixed palette for doing so, which is even different from the default paint palette. It then uses an algorithm to dither the pictures, which creates unwanted dither. Therefore neither use paint to save as gif nor to save as jpg, but use another software, grafx2 for example, to convert the file to gif.

I realized my comment about this looking highly chromatic wasnt correct as this is not a chromatic representation. Still the question remain what work this is. And how one should know if this is major or minor. O_o

I really like how the green part blends in to the violet but while the idea is generally well exectued I seem some minor things which dont seem to work that well with the win 7 palette (the blue under the nose for example). Also this seems to be a step away from your usual style which I find very refreshing. Great work all in all

Seriously, what do you want to hear? "Oh, no totally missed your entry, wont do that again, please stay!!11" ? Even if you think that you should have ranked better, I dont see any reason to say that other than to seek for pitiful comments.

I couldnt agree any more with tripnfelt. Beyonce had one of the best entries of all time. Of all time.

Why is not having a selout  a reason for rejecting this piece?

I guess I just missed something but now I'm so curious that I just need to ask ;)

I want to play this. Now.

I especially like how the colours fade in the lower regions. Adds a nice atmosphere :)

I really like the palette and find this quite impressive work with tallpixels, since whenever I tried tall pixels it just looked odd and pretty similar to anything just done with half resolution.

Nice work, especially considering its "just some quick fun" ;)

Comparing your work with picassos, thats the spirit :)

Picasso didnt strive for factual accuracy. You at least seem to do. If you don't, and actually want this to be considered as a work of art comparable to the ones of picasso, you have failed I guess.

A.B. Lazer was trying to give you constructive criique and you dont seem very willing to take it.

colour reduced or pixeled?

This looks pretty much like most programms would reduce it with a simple pattern mode, thats why i ask.

user

Since your recently uploaded characters all seem to share the same base or at least share many features, I can't see any reason why you would want to submit them as individual pieces instead of having all in one picture.
