Red on the tops of the pines and red sunset brings a very nice atmosphere :)

Look at nice and I like contrast and colours.

I am not a supporter of green spots over dark places. Maybe next time you can fill the areas with another elements like leafs or rocks.

When I look at the shield, boots, armour and gloves, think that the gloves must be 1-2-3 pixels short or 1 glove must be in different direction, like the boots.

I like clear view, but for me building have too many details. Wall and tiled have less. I like and two styles, but difference is a bit  too much. Also agreed with Carnivac for little guy with a sword.

Look at this simply tut in PixelJoint from Pblink where will be good to use so dark outlines.

You make some generelly mistakes.

Lineart look at good, but black outlines aren't good. Also need to specify light source. Also colours and contrast of the walls and roofs aren't very good and need more work to understand everybody that this is wooden building.
