thank you cmmrc, when it came to the palette I actually winged it. I didn't have any plans, just wanted to go bananas on the color. Nice to know it is actually looks pleasing to others :D

Thanks for the feedback. I revised the palette, got rid of about 6 unnecesary colors and I shifted the grays to blues. Now It feels easier on the eye.

Yeah, I agree. Something here does not feel right with the colors and all the dithering in the world is not going to solve it :). What do you think it is? I think that blue mas in the center, the cauldron, diverts too much. Shall I try using the greys instead? Also, the green lighting on the owl's head feels forced.

wow... very different. I'd love to see more!

the thumb doesn't look like much, but WOW this is cool!

You should go Mignola all the way and have a flat color background with blinking for the animation.

A little cleanup wouldnt' hurt. The scratch lines are in this case true to the source, but lighted areas of cloth would work better once the mouth is spitting hellfire.

Please keep on with this! A hellboy metroidvania would really be spot-on! Mockups? :)

I don't know it it is that you that you wanted matte dyed hair, but for me it lacks shine on that hair. Adding some specular will add volume and a truer look to the manga tradition of spiky glossy hair :P

Otherwise, great :)

Ambitious! :)

What a tease! Now I want to see the lightsaber and color shading on kit! You really have to come back to this one soon!

Loving the palette.

About the grass, maybe it's the outlines in the grass in the foregroung? I venture it would look better without such a sharp line between the grassblades.

Again, loving it. Pleasing to the eye with varied and  meticulous shading

Yes, rhlstudios, you are right. I took a long hiatus, and now I learned not to post unfinished work. They were all awful rush works and WIPs.

Now I removed them, so I start with a clean slate. :)

Jalonso: Yes, I worked on them separately. I think the only materials in common are  the metal and the skin. I am checking out right now the Noobtorial on color, palette and materials, so I can put a little bit of contrast. It looks pretty flat so far.

I don't fully understand what you mean by the two pixel butt... Do you mean broader hips? If that's the case, I shall try it. Now that I look closer, the Canon Monk looks famished.

I got the idea of the defender from Hockey Goalies. It looks pretty much like a tank class, and I am pretty pleased with it.

About the names, well, yes, I got some influence from DnD. The Arcane is a student of arcane magic arts. And Canon, well, I got it from quire singing. Like when a person starts singing "Frere Jacques", and then another one joins with offset. The idea is to have a support battle spell like the song of the bards, but the effect is multiplied by the number of characters "singing the same song". But all that is just Game Design details...

The order of class types is: Naked, Melee Attacks based on STR, Melee based on AGI, Support, Melee based on AGI, Tank based on STR, and Magic Attacks based on INT, so you got that pretty much right.

Thanks for the feed :)

this was another rush job... I will stop posting them because as you say, they do not look finished. I am curious about your editing. Give it a shot!

calm down kid, I just lost the working file... so the eye-candy might need to whait... But the animation is actually not a bad idea... some FINE metal slug animation is needed!

yay! this made my day!
how did you do the city? what steps did you take? what did you begin with? was it structured or did you instinctively pixelated until you found an order?

nice, it really sticks out. Good palette. And quite a creative way to shade water. Inspiration?

You're absolutely right: I should've pulished it a bit after the deadline for showing it up in here. It would've been more visible with a highlight and a little dark outline under it... plus a little bit more of a coned shape. That part unbalanced the whole lighning on the piece, specially because it is in the middle of the image.
Somehow I feel a lot more excited knowing I did this piece in a work rush: I tend to be a lot more focused on my workflow and the overall image, instead of picking on details and risking the wacky look. But as a result, things like this missile occur and the picture doesn't look complete then. Oh, Muses, such a dilemma!

well, since I had a limint on the frames, I had to make 2 framed animation, wich means, no transition. I went then to different timed still poses, extreme poses and anticipation frames. maybe I'll show the tile later... But yes, if I had the green light on the project, I would've done nicer transitions, I fully agree with you.
And about the background, I am dreadfully sorry, I didn't know how to put it as transparent. I'll need some technical feedback for the next time. I guess I'll have to ask mr. Crylar.
