You've "probably" seen a VH1 Pop-Up Video.
If you're anything like me? You probably laughed at a few of the pop-ups and wished you could "easily" make your own.
Well... now you can.
http://www.bubbleply.comYou can take just about any video from the internet (think YouTube, Google Video, MySpace Vids, etc) and make your OWN version.
The pop-ups included some pre-set Clip Art (shoddy at best), a Cartoon Speech Bubble, Thought Bubble, basic Round Edged Plain Bubble... But you can also include an Images Bubble ( Images from your computer... ) A WebCam Bubble (I guess you could drop your own face in there to say something, I haven't tried it yet), and then the ever-lovely Sub-Titles bubble at the bottom of the screen.
Just about everything is editable. So you can drop something in and tell it to stay for 1 second... 20 seconds... or more. You can set transparency of your bubbles, make them link to other websites, change the text, colors, etc.
With the artistic power here at Pixel Joint... I was even thinking there could be challenges. Pop-Up Video Challenges.
BubblePLY has an option for Partnering. Which basically means that if Pixel Joint wanted, they could (free-of-charge) add a BubblePLY player so that users could put their BubblePLY videos straight into Forum Posts?
Pros:
It's easy to use. Fun as heck. Widely distributable ( at the end of editing a video, you can press a button to post your video to your MySpace, MyYearbook, LiveJournal, etc accounts ). And FREE.
Cons:
No sound effects (yet?). You can't download the Bubble Video. You have to point people TO the BubblePLY site or use a BubblePLY player on a Partner site.
Go have fun!
Satirize that one YouTube video that you always thought was too serious...
Or make your own YouTube video even better!
