We have the forum topic in which people can get assured before submission. You didn't say the sky was falling, but PB's point was that you were making the whole situation seem more of a problem than it really was.
Did I say the sky was falling? What you're saying pixelblink makes more sense than the 'reasoning' skamocore was giving. I can certainly understand once time is up the ship has sailed- that's all you had to say instead of making up reasons for why the piece didn't make it. Maybe you guys should make a PSA that entries need to be in at least 10 minutes before the deadline if they're going to make it or not, because this certainly isn't the first time this has happened.

Dusky: you are very quick to judge us as well. His initial entry had no shadows at all and he resubmitted and messaged me at the very last moment, which is unfortunate. It is certainly an interesting piece but cannot participate in the challenge without having to recode the site to get it in, which is beyond my personal abilities. It is NOT the end of the world so don't treat it as such.
wow you guys are being ridiculously picky/judgmental. How can you say the shadow isn't the focus of the piece, when your eye is totally drawn to it due to its placement in the composition (not to mention it's the main thing being animated)? Is that really the reason why his entry was declined? Gimme a break.
plyvinyl, your entry wasn't accepted as the focus of the piece had to be on the shadow(s). Even after your edit (which was great, by the way) the shadow(s) still weren't the focus.
Look at how prominent shadows were in all the other entries.
Make sure you carefully read through the challenge description next time, k?
