Pixel Art Challenge: Optimistic Occupations

Challenge winner, Jeremy wants you to use the palette shown below to depict someone doing the job that you wanted to have when you were younger. For example, if you wanted to be a paleontologist when you were younger, then you would create an image of a paleontologist doing thier job.

It does not strictly need to be realistic, nor does it have to be entirely truthful - It's not like we can read your mind! ...yet.

Canvas Size - Min 150 (width) x 100 (height); Max 300 (Width) x 200 (height).
Colours - Max 16. Use only colours from this palette (sourced from the SEGA Master System):

Transparency - No.
Animation - Optional.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

can we use less than 16 colors?

SerenaOmega (Level 1 Depressed) @ 2/27/2010 18:53

I wanted to be a bunch of things, an assassin/hitman, an artist, a princess, an information broker. God, I am weird cuz I still wanna be these things.

Kyata (Level 3 Stalker) @ 2/26/2010 04:57

Clown. XD
But no time to pixel that.

Morgengrauen (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 2/25/2010 02:06

talking about pornstar... when i was not so young anymore, i thought making phone sex for money would be a good choice... you don't have to do anything dirty or even see the weirdos, just moan a litlle bit and do household stuff en passant.

after that i learned about high-end call girls... making 500-1000 an hour. Ha, that must be a life ^^

note: i never did any of this.

dpixel (Level 9 Vice President) @ 2/24/2010 13:00

How about no job?  Just sitting there collecting a fixed income....Too optimistic?

I'd like to try this palette but my real job won't let me this week.

eldiabolito (Level 2 Quiet One) @ 2/24/2010 02:24

i'd make something but i just can't remember what i wanted to be when i was younger... i'm just sure it had nothing to do with digging for bones...

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 2/23/2010 10:10

I will definitely be the ruler of  the world...you will see

Quake (Level 2 Hired Gun) @ 2/23/2010 09:41

Is anyone here actually  becoming a paleontologist, or Geology.. or whatever?

Cause' i'm doing Geology now at college, University in a few months.

Anywayy, I wanted to be a digimon Tamer :s

Think i might join in :D

Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) @ 2/23/2010 04:28

Jurassic Park generation. Yes, you.

Elk (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 2/23/2010 03:42

as much as I hate dither...that would be the only solution here to make a flesh tone...but no XD

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) @ 2/22/2010 22:43

"if the palette had a few more flesh-colors, i'd expect elk going for p*rnstar =)"

Hatch (Level 3 Hatchikyu) @ 2/22/2010 21:22

Jeremy says it's ok.

Dusty (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 2/22/2010 20:18

I like this. Astronomy has so much potential :)

jeremy (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 2/22/2010 20:12

@Manjaman: I don't see why not, best see what the mods think though :)

btw, I too wanted to be a paleontologist ;D

Soup (Level 1 Rookie) @ 2/22/2010 17:38

PORN STAR... just kidding

KingOfTheTrolls (Level 9 Boss) @ 2/22/2010 16:48

Hmm I have a very odd job that I wanted to do, design games :/ that I think would come across a little boring. I'll go with my second dream job when I was young, Cop.

Dr D (Level 4 Shichikyu) @ 2/22/2010 14:18

But it would make a great piece anyway, so do it!

Damian (Level 10 Operative) @ 2/22/2010 14:17

I wanted to be a scientist of some sort. When I was much younger I always had this image of scientists being crazy and inventing truly magnificent  machines, I blame tv. On that note I don't really think mine would count being as obscure as it was.

tomic (Level 11 Admiral) @ 2/22/2010 10:32

if the palette had a few more flesh-colors, i'd expect elk going for p*rnstar =)

Reo (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 2/22/2010 09:32

Dinosour scientist!

Manjaman (Level 8 Cannibal) @ 2/22/2010 09:09

Can I mix diferent jobs if I had several wishes ?

JediDude (Level 4 Murderer) @ 2/22/2010 06:27

I wanted to be a race car driver. I was such a stereotypical little boy.

A.B. Lazer (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 2/22/2010 05:53

Hey, I wanted to be a paleontologist too! It was very easy to come up with themes for games in the yard with friends: "Oh, let's dig up some bones!"

Flarfy (Level 5 Detective) @ 2/22/2010 05:50

This pallette is really clasching with my idea! Guess that's why it's a challenge!

Robinson (Level 4 Button Man) @ 2/22/2010 05:32
What a coincidence! When I was younger, I wanted to be a paleontologist!!! I also wanted to be a superhero with some "green fire powers". I was a dawn weird kid...

Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) @ 2/22/2010 04:46

First job I ever wanted to do was bus driver.

I had fallen in love with the school bus.

Vertigo-Zero (Level 9 Necrophiliac) @ 2/22/2010 03:01

I won't enter this since I am learning to become what i've wanted to become... I am learning to be a graphic designer (and illustrator) and i've always wanted to do something with drawing (and designing). Oh and I have no time to pixel either...

jeremy (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 2/22/2010 03:00

 do eet :D

Both of you :P

Morgengrauen (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 2/22/2010 02:03

i thought about being a opera singer, but i didn't want to gain that weight. (as a kid, i had this pic of these incredible fat opera singers in mind)

heyy13 (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 2/22/2010 01:36

I wanted to be two things as a child, the President of Australia (i was convinced that we'd be a republic by the time i came to power) or a fairy. This elicites the urge for a strange meld. :P
