Welcome to the 5th April Fool's Gallery challenge.
For this challenge we want you to take a look at the gallery of another PJ member and try to emulate their style. Can you fool us into thinking your work is theirs? Well...can you?
No list of restrictions this week; pick what restrictions are appropriate for your chosen artist. Just make sure your entry is entirely your own work and that you name the pixel artist you are attempting to emulate in your description.
For inspiration, have a look at the entries for the previous four April Fool's Gallery challenges [1] [2] [3] [4]
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
You could pick someone else, there's plenty to choose from :P
Hmm... of the two who I consistantly choose, should I try Fool again, or Adarias? Ah, decisions, decisions...
@Grug, just in case you didn't know, you can enter weekly challenges as many times as you like, so you can still do Kevink if you like.
@Jeremy :3
After an hesitation between kevink & Metaru, I did Metaru… I think it's working. ;)
http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/40863.htm this is what I think when I think "metaru". And I also think about his avatar.
It was a joke.. I know his style, which specifically shows in his more recent works, but his pj gallery shows quite some different influences.
He definitely does have a style, maybe not something I can adequately describe, but look at his palette choices; animation style; common themes - robots, steampunk, his Tarro character, "games during the 16-8bit era of gaming", and chainsaws (as you mentioned).
I wanted to copy you, but while looking through your gallery I didn't see a specific style. ??chainsaws??
i lol'ed at the forth link. :DDD Where is it from?? link plzz
as arrogant as this might sound
it would be hard to point something and say its mine. i've got so many influences and i change so often than from a graphical point of view it would be hard to make something that would "look" as mine. and i dont think that making a "tarro" would count towards the idea of these challenges, since you're suposed to emulate an artist, not a single piece's look/theme.
in all honestly, i feel flattered(not) and honored(not) but i'd rather pick a way easier/more recognizable subject ♥
