This week we want you to draw a character and make 3 different animations of it, and then present them in a row, next to eachother. The required animations need to portray 3 different wind forces, using only moves of the character garments, hair, facial expressions, eventually objects held by the charatcer. No backround or background items are allowed (like rain, snow, falling leaves, flags, bending trees, etc.). The 3 stages are as follows:
1) light air, 2) breeze, 3) gale.
You have to use the the Thunderstorm Beneath the Summit palette, created by airy disc.
The canvas needs to be used as three 64x64 squares, set in a row horizontally, each one for each animation. You can separate them with some framing or not, add descriptions or not. This is entirely up to you.
Canvas: Exactly 64 x 192 (horizontal), (or 64x256 if you decide to do bonus challenge)
Colors: Max 12 (use the provided palette
Transparency: Required
Animation: Required
Bonus challenge 1: Instead of animating all 3 stages with the same number of frames, make an interesting sequence (example: 1st animations 6 frames, 2nd 4 frames, 3rd 3 frames, everything in a 12 frame sequence)
Bonus challenge 2: Add another 64x64 square to the row and add another animation with even stronger wind force "storm".
The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
Background, foreground, any ground. The whole point of this challenge is to not draw wind itself, however you intended to do it or whatever technique you would wish to use. You just draw a character and animate it with how the wind affects it. You are supposed to only give an impression of the wind by showing what it does.
