CHALLENGE RULES

• Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
• Only new pixels allowed.
• Open to all members.
• Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

• Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
• Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
• Winner announced the following week.

First off, the skin color is too yellow. add some red into it to make it look more natural. I would give the head a couple of pixels of more height, he's hugging the his shoulders pretty bad right now. For the jacket, I noticed your saturation was completely gray. I never like to use completely desaturated colors, I find them to be a bit boring. The light from the fire sword would reflect off of the jacket, making it appear more red. Take a look at my edit for other parts I changed. Good luck!

@philippe: Looks more like an RPG sprite than a fighter sprite.

@ randomboy2007: You sure you want to be worrying about color right now? You still have quite some shading to do.
By the way, both are fine.

@Sergiotron I like it a lot, but IMHO the katana could use some AA... I actually also loved the 1-bit version (would look nice in a B/W game).

@ philippejugnet: Don't you dare not submit this. You do that, and you stop trying. At least, do it just for PA's sake, for the practice. You do your best, even though you might not win.

MIERDINSKY: The pixel is shaping up nicely, but the challenge calls for a sprite of yourself, and I doubt you're a heavily muscled bald guy with blue skin.
