On account of the pet and the character's big eyes, I called it chibi. But if the connaiseurs deem that this shouldn't qualify, then I can go back to disliking all chibi. Regardless, this is a great piece of work! :D
Thanks for your kind words!
Hahah when I read that I though "huh. I didn't know I drew in chibi style". You had me convinced CELS!
Uh, this is not chibi at all, she has slightly stylised, but overall fairly realistic proportions. Her head is not watermelon sized in comparison to her body.
That said. Really like it, nice character design too :)
I never like chibi stuff, but... I'll make an exception for this one. This is fantastic. I especially like the contrast.
Beautifully animated, I really like the fluid motion in her hair :)
Thank you :D
I'm really at the beginning stages of development, so I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for the release, haha. But if everything goes well it'll be released... somewhere :)
What lovely and smooth animation!
Will this game get released for us to try out at any point? :3
I don't think it's a bad name. The animation is amazing. Well done!
This looks really cool! Can't wait to see game when it comes out!
I think you've shanged the preview, but not the main picture.Nothing.
Thanks everyone! :D
Paddy's got the right idea. Ingame, the head is going to open up and shoot a little blast, which means that it has to be a seperate entity from it's body. If the tail was playing a loop, then interrupted the loop everytime you shot, it would look quite jarring.
That being said, when I thought of that I just went to the conclusion of "oh so the head can't have any animation". I'm just now realizing that it can have animation, it just has to be a seperate loop from the body.
I don't know if any of that made sense... basically I left the head intentionally static for technical reasons but I realized those reasons were misguided.
I'll make an update to fix that :)
Thanks again everyone!
if it's for a game then maybe the head was intentionally left static, judging by the description it would appear that the companions swap in and out, so maybe it was left static so as to help differentiate between them. Having it move might make it hard to recognize.
Agree with FlyGuy, static puppy looks weird. Adding an animation to him would improve the sprite a lot.
Though even without it the sprite is great.
Awesome as always! The puppys head feels a ltitle rigid. Maybe have the ears on the pet bounce, or make his nose/chin area go up and down to match the tail and main sprites hair... regardless this is an outsanding animation 10/10 fav!
Lovely, lovely lovely. Great colors and secondary animation w/ the hair.
How you can be like completely different artist in just couple of years? You are like super Pro now.
the hair might be the best of this sprite.
looks nice and interesting, best of luck crusher
Really good work! I like the fluid hair movment.
