Even more screens from my old RPG (mostly 2011-2014) project which is still in progress. More description and screens here: Project Screens #1 Project Screens #2

I think there are some problems in terms of readability which I'm aware of, but I still like how some tiles and objects turned out.

I removed all transparency effects for PJ, characters and some objects, because the most are placeholders at the current stage. More to come.

Top notch work.

GameBoy (Level 1 Depressed) @ 8/17/2016 12:44

This is at level of greatest SNES classics. It's amazing that you did all by yourself.

Mrmo Tarius (Level 10 Master Sniper) @ 8/17/2016 09:11

I like these very much, but that last scene is completely awesome and inspirational o_o

JosephSeraph (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 8/16/2016 11:49

i'll take some notes on those gorgeous trees! That's some really interesting tile structure.

Sylon (Level 3 Stalker) @ 8/15/2016 09:34

Truly fabulous!

Thanks all! Yes, the noise on the floortiles is a problem. I would do it differently for upcoming projects. But as you said, it has a nice SNES era look which I still like.

When I see this piece I feel like this is  canceled Snes gem.

Bynine (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 8/14/2016 06:58

this is so gorgeous. love the snes rpg vibe i'm getting

Lucaiver (Level 3 Hatchet Man) @ 8/13/2016 12:03

I love how well everything is rendered! I feel like some of it is hard to read, but I think putting in some dark colors would help that a lot - just to keep things looking separate from the surrounding space. Looks great tho!

specialmin64 (Level 3 Hatchet Man) @ 8/13/2016 06:18

This game looks awesome. I especially like the conifer tree in the top screen and the illuminated floor tiles in the bottom screen.

I recall beetleking being advised to reduce noise in his ground tiles to make objects more readable (which turned out quite well in his case, it's a shame he took most of his submissions down), but on the other hand it seems like you've achieved a very nice snes-era jrpg look that the noisiness completes. Keep going dude
