Excellent stuff, really clean. Lighting is definitely cool.
Well, shame on me, but I don't know well about Albator u_u
Thank you for your appreciation :)
The mix of soft curves (character, fabric) and hard straight lines (chair) should not work, but it does!
It's incredible how the color gradient for the background turns the "mask pattern" into an actual scene, but on closer look, the subtle changes of lighting on masks help a lot.
Getting rid of the mask handle is probably a good decision, hand-held mask feels more personal and less authority-like; it also matches better with the masks on the wall.
The lady reminds me of the designs from Albator (Captain Harlock), is it something you had in mind ?
She did, but if you look at your progress gif, you'll notice that you furrowed her brow and opened her eyes more as you progressed, which gave her more of a look of disdain than sadness.
Beautiful story!
I just realized that the character may be seen as someone evil but the actual girl was really kind IRL. In the first step of the drawing she was looking way more sad than now.
Thank you for the input anyway :3
Ooh! Very ominious lighting! It's eerily beatiful.
It makes me think of two things:
1) The woman in the picture is a master manipulator, and she sits in this closet of masks, each one representing a fragmented personality she wields to get what she wants out of people. Currently, she's at a party that has invited all of her sworn enemies into one place, and over the course of the party, she's been visiting this closet to try on new masks. She, however, has found that her control over her guests is crumbling beyond her control. She then revisits the closet, gazing at the masks, and wondering which one could possibly fix her current quandary, until you (the viewer) walks in.
OR...
2) She's a sociopath, and this room is her trophy case of all the people she's "conquered". Each sigil is kind of like the person's soul signature she's engraved into each mask. She's become so good at her craft, that it doesn't matter if you discover either the room or its purpose; regardless of the extent of your knowledge, if she wills it, you'll be next on her wall.

Thank to all of you for kind words :3
PS: The trick is to insert a smiley/emoji. Then right click on it, edit property, change the url with the desired image.
HOW? YOU? PUT!! IMAGES INSIDE YOUR DESCRIPTION!!!!???
And a great one art as always. Superb job with light and ambience. And I like the backstory and whole feeling of the pics as well - so nice when you have ambitions and posibility to express something deep within you.
I don't know how I feel about the chair's being composed of just straight lines.
Woah, this is amazing! I love the highlights on the dress, it almost looks like a painting.
that's me indeed bro
