Inspired by this classic Commodore 64 picture from 1999 - there's a competition over on CSDb

Commodore 64 multicolour bitmap mode: fixed palette, wide pixels, 3 colours (plus 1 global background colour) per 4x8 pixel block. Using sprites in the upper/lower border to make the image taller - in this particular picture there are 291 lines instead of the default 200. There can only be 8 sprites per scanline, which limits the graphics in the border area even more.

Thank you Tomic! You should definitely let those fingers loose on the C64! You could try Multipaint or Timanthes, those will help you keep within the restrictions. (I've been using Timanthes since 2006 but it does have a few bugs and hasn't been updated in years so Multipaint might be the better option.)

great compo-idea with a nice turnout (i've also already seen jailbird's take on fb).
my fingers are itching but i'm not too familar with c64 restrictions :/
