This is amazing! Is there anyway to provide the .lbm file? Only if you want to that is.
Very nice example of colour cycling, as well as nice pixelart. Good stuff.
Well, there is record of Color cycling use for sure.

But, I think the pieces posted used the cycle very subtle, and over small areas. Anyways, I'm not sure if there was ever a problem with it, and if there was, not anymore because I don't think these are sneaking by the mods; I mean, they are all aproved, so I guess it is ok.
This is great!
@Dokitsu I used to be a mod when Pixeljoint was far more strict, don't think color cycling was ever a problem...? Or maybe I'm wrong? :s
The background effect looks very cool, but once again like your other recent piece the animated reflections on the car are the star of the show.
c'mon, it's not like he's slapping glow FX on the pixels or anything..
This is legit and nerd as hell; a healthy dose of nerdy for our community
I'm aware of what the technique is, but I think this sort of stuff as well as other things aren't allowed at all here at pixeljoint.
I'm not a mod, just saying.
Ok, to clear things out. All the animations here are hand crafted.
It´s color cycling, a technique from the 80s. You have to place pixels in order so when the colors on the palette shift, they give the illusion of movement.
As a reference, look up Mark Ferarri, he created awesome stuff with this method.
Aside the background and reflections being animated from a motion software, and not hand crafted, the whole piece looks awesome to me.
Thanks!
Now I'm wondering, which part of the background seems to you like an effect or not hand pixeled?
Ground, buildings or sky?
Very cool stuff but as Gecimen mentioned the background looks like an automated effect.
Amazing! What tools do you use for color cycling? Thanks!
The background doesn't seem hand pixelled but I'm guessing you're well aware of it, so I'll let this through. Very good piece.
That reflection is insane!
