Me. For the weekly challenge.
This works so well. Kind of trippy, definetly see the 60s inspiration. Really well done!
I really like this.
@Hapiel It does feel a bit of a music poster you're right but I was thinking 60s at the time. I'd be happy with Abba though!
@SeDiceBisonte I was definitely thinking 60s psychedelic images borrowed from art noveau when I was making it.
@Christoballs Thanks! The animation was going to be the final thing but then I decided the still image was better and I kept the animation for the preview.
I don't know what exactly it is about your expression and colors and background, but I feel like you could be in Abba or some other 70s band!
Great work, I enjoy the preview a lot too!
Impressive! The contrast, background and the animations on the thumbnail. All great =D
Great piece! Really digging your use of EGA. The animated preview is the cherry on top, with its shimmering eyes and expressive eyebrows.
Very nice. Great use of the colours. I like the very sparing use of black just to accentuate some parts as well.
And lovely clusters in the hair too.
I second @SeDiceBisonte. Retro pixel art style + new wave psychedelics =
I second the use of blue as the main shadows being really great!
One heck of a stylish piece. I dig the big, clear clusters.
It's reiterating what I said on Discord, but I also love the use of blue as the main shadow colour. The large blocks of colour remind me of a screen print, as does the trippy pattern in the background. I get a strong late 60s psychedelic poster vibe from this piece!
@sjd_sjd So glad you like it!
@zombieMode I ended up with the blue shadows so I could sneakily add a few black accents for the bits where I really needed it.
Great work! I love the expression you have captured in your self portrait.
Awesome job!! I love the big shadow shapes, gives it a very atmospheric feeling, especially with the darkest being blue and not black. Super cool background too!
Lovely job on this!
