Wonderful job on this. It was fun to see it during progress and it came out really awesome in the end. I like all the little details in the feathers and the colour choices are really nice. Swooshy outlines are also delicious!
slick pixeling and good choice of bird! personally i would prefer a brighter palette but looks great nonetheless

I see a lot of selectively-coloured or selectively-portrayed outlines in pixelart, even to the point of some sprites disregarding them entirely. I very rarely ever see pixelart that leans on and encourages dynamic linewidth, even though it's such a powerful tool in traditional or digital inking. Here the thickest lines are all conducive to the strength of pixels (the orthogonal 8 directions rather than awkward fractions of degrees) so the anti-aliasing aids in creating smooth transitions. From the 1:1 view it seems like a downscaled regular drawing that happened to be cleaned of extraneous colours; it's only with closer zooming in that you can appreciate how appealing the line weight is.
