Anyway, regardless of how you created this, ordered dither isn't something to strive for. If you do use ordered dither you should use it sparingly and carefully. Right now, your use of dithering comes across as excessive and in some places it ends up making the image look quite flat. Also, I don't think you've really used the full potential of the EGA palette.
Have a look at these EGA pieces from the gallery - [1] [2] [3] Observe their use of both colour and dithering; even when dithering is used in these images it is used in a very controlled manner. Also, check out some of the entries from the EGA challenge we ran a couple of months ago; there are some really cool/inspirational images.
ehm no, i used the image so i didnt have to deal with proportions because i was focusing on dithering, i used photoshop, photo on one layer, work on the other, etc..
