a tall-pixel experiment. will prolly never touch them again. :) the lighting is not really consistent, the palette kind of hasted, and the background doodle left jaggy as it was where i started. . . but this is where i felt i should stop. enjoy!

Love the roughness with this one!
I really love this. The style is so... Sublime!
Nice robot, great colors chosen, and this works great with the tall pixels!
Looks nice :)
I like the alternate palette more.
But its amazing anyway. Great job!
Good sh*t ! ;) Reminds me Amiga days and oldskool graphics.
man! this is pixelated!!!... why you made something pixelated??? are you out of your mind? i think you just zoomed this!!!...and that's cheat!!..... oh wait!... this website/community is called PIXEL JOINT!!... ohhh nvm then! good job!.... jajajaj....
no, no no, how serious.... I like the alternative palette :D... same as the composition
Lovely, you did a really good job on this.
Nice! I prefer this pallete. Feels like acrylics
Tall pixels are exactly what they sound like.. they're pixels which occupy 2 "normal" pixel's hieght, while still having the width of one "normal" pixel.
what are tall pixels?
This is great work. I love your all works.
I like how the keyboard is a paino keyboard
Nice stuff. Some of the aa is a bit blurry in places.
Wow, this is amazing stuff! Fav'd!
Only thing, the fingers shading stands out rough, even banding.
Both palettes are good, I think I like this one more, but not by much.
Great work Skurwy, much love <3
thank you everyone!
that's an idea, mathias! if only id had it posted in a wip thread before id surely go for it! :) you should try tall pixels some day, its kind of funny when you see all the tricks you have learned before are not applicable in places. again, i had to work simultaneously on tall and normal pixel sizes.
niteroach, hehehe, thats a weird fixation but you know, i love it! :D
I want 'his' head to take a picture of me holding a pumpkin.... I don't know why.
great colors, great pixeling, great idea... great everything. <3
I like it a lot. It's amusing. I've never had the desire to tackle tall pixels, wide pixels are not so bad, though. Only bugger is the human forearm, just doesn't seem to mesh well with the chunky robotic figure; would be funny if his hand was clearly not designed for playing that keyboard. Great job.
This lines are so fantastic! And so smooth, so melty...
Ummm....I admired your pixel arts.
Amazing pixel work, it's not even noticeable that it's really made up of tall pixels.
