Too many colors in chars at 40, 96 and 72, 152 (I've just written myself a script to check multicolor/hires C64 images in GrafX2). Other than that; a pretty cool pic and the smoke is funky! :)

Agree with Poyer about unbalanced composition: the cityscape on the right is too contrasted and keeps drawing the eye towards the right side. I would extend it behind the face and to the left side, and make it a bit darker. I don't have a problem with hand and smoke though.
Its gorgeous, but i feel like perhaps the composition of the piece is somewhat lacking.
I think it would be far more striking of there was some more cityscape on the left side, removing the hand and cigarette entirely.
