Excellent! Such a smooth animation and the movement looks very natural. Top notch. I do agree that perhaps some slight animation in the legs might improve the animation as a whole. The newly animated wings are a huge improvement.
Nice animation! Very smooth and organic. You sure this is your first time doing subpixel anims? ;)
For whatever it's worth, IMHO a tiny bit of movement in the legs (to compensate for the weight shift as he leans back slightly) would make this piece even better, since I can't shake the feeling that his lower body is noticeably too static compared to the motion happening in the upper body and wings. Perhaps have him squat a tiny bit as he breathes in, or have his left (our right) leg move back a pixel or two instead?
@ptoing: I guess it's this subject that's getting old.

Wings animated! ;)
The animation is pretty static in a way, what with the wings not moving.
Also I have to say I would like you to branch out more into non-fanart territory. Most of the stuff in your gallery is fanart and I at least think it is getting old. Might just be me though.
@Reo: I kinda agree, but I have no idea how to even start doing it...
@Jim: not sure how I could improve the legs, could you please make an edit?
@All: Thanks for the comments!
yes yes! hooray for firebrand!
so glad they put him in marvel vs capcom
From the preview it made me think of Setzer. Really nice sprite, I'm also pleased to see you deviate from what you usually do. I like the wings, but they should probably move along with the body.
I actually like the wings. The upper body looks great. I do however think that the leg on the left looks like its situated a pixel or two to far to the left. I know you're trying to balance the weight around because of the wings, but the legs don't look right to me and I think to get the weight distribution right you'd have to play around with the entire sprite.
The Subpixel animation looks superb, almost as if you've been doing it for a while ;)
Very nice palette. I agree with Sengir about you trying new things.
It looks great, I'm a sucker for subpixeling.
I'm not a fan of the wings, but I do like that you're deviating from your usual style and doing something new!
Looks smooth to me.
