You could consider ditching that bit of dither-AA at the front of the beak and just make it go from 45 degree-->vertical.
@ ptoing, I belive the beak looks a lot better now, also adressed the neck issues.

Overall very nicely done, pretty successful study :)
Some things that do not really work is the parts on the beat and at the bottom of the helmet/net where you aa the line weirdly. You should not go with horizontal but vertical aa there. Also you somehow managed to get 1 tall pixels in there at the top of the wing.
Looks good. The beak is a bit odd though, the lines could be smoothed out a bit on the tip.
You studied his work very well, so it is very similar.
