Thx! Nope I don't touch the sprites, tho I did already some special FX for attacks and stuff.
The sky does look like a different style. Because it has higher contrast, it competes for attention with the cities, which are a far more interesting focal point. The white lines look jagged against the dither in the top center.
Great work overall! Are you reskinning the sprite art, too?
Not sure exactly what is different from original? Perhaps provide links to the different versions so we can compare. But this looks good.
Not sure if the flickering shadow on the flamepillar works though. Looks kinda weird. More distracting then helping mood or atmosphere.
Heard you guys! I think I found a in-between solution… what do you think now?
I have to say that the original version with the white was nicer. It looked more sunny.
I have to agree with -DE-. The sky without the white lost a lot of the original impact tho the dithering is softer not that I was one who minded the dithering.
I must say, I liked the stark white better, much better. It looks like satin now, or some other fabric, instead of sky.
@kendi64: you're right, I replaced the sky's white with something smoother. Thx ;)
This is marvelous, I especially like the animation of the flags and the fire! Instant fav! :)
My favorite parts is the rocks: the color change and shading. I love the shape of the clouds and rays poking through, the white dithering just doesn't seem to go with the rest of the shaded dithering (although done very well) imo. simple but lovely animation
hi i am billing you the medical costs for re-hinging my jaw, because i could not close my mouth after seeing this, thank you
Ahhhhhh gorgeous!!!! The colors, my goodness, beautiful work :)
All is great, but I really love how u've done the sky :O
