It's a shame. I am sure if you'd put yourself out there and look for people who already made games, they would be happy to work with you. But of course it's the most difficult part to find a good team you can rely on to make games.
But the art in itself is greatly enjoyable too.

Lovely work. Interesting play with the green lighting. And how everthing leads one to the character!

Really great scene. Love how the painterly appearing light inthe top left fades into more and more detailed environment and characters. Also fun to explore what each of the tiny dudes is exactly doing. I really like the guy taking his snail with little snails on a walk.

Really lovely contrasting and awesome polish overall. Love the appearance of soft gradients going throughout the whole scene, which pull the quite chaotically placed subjects in the scene greatly together. Definitelly very interesting to study for a longer period of time, to take in all the detail.

Cool scene. Nice caustic on the rock and the tetris tiled floor is also a cool touch.

Cool work. I especially like the rock column, After like 15 years I am eally wondering if you will ever will manage to turn those into a full game. My favorite animated bit is the coin in the piggy.

Great take on the reference, the preview reminded me a little of Monet, but it's a cool study. I like how you took some liberties with lighting up the windows and adding the little duck!

It's a super good take on very deliberate cartoony style pixel art. I love the water foam and the little animals which liven up the scene. But also the big rock cliff feels very natural for the top-down game setup. Great work!

Pretty awesome work, great take "on little dud looking over vast landscape2, but it's super fresh to see some sci-fi from you and applaudable that once more you put so much effort in Secret Santa. Great work Adam!

@amberMechanic

I checked out Virginia Woolf and indeed she has a super interesting face. Having the reference as a direct comparison it's way more clear what I am looking at.

I would say that maybe the forehead should be a tiny bit more vertical, the hair definitely needs a bit more volume, you should remove the dark shadow on the cheek and make the ridge of the nose more lit. Also the elongated shadow in the grubs of the mouth could be reduced. After all you still would go for a female face, just exaggerate a bit. I think it's just a bit to strong.
I also totally didn#t read the thing over her shoulders as a jacket, I thought it's part of the dress. Mainly because the sleeve is not lining up and it reads more as background.element, since all other foreground elements have a bit darker outlines.
I think some small changes here and there could go a long way, as there is nothing wrong with the big work intensive basics in the piece. It's just that things are hard to read without being aware of all the detail to pay attention to.

it's a great piece, good mood, good colors. I like everything about it, aside from the focal point because it reads to me in a confusing way.

The lady you put in the preview. She doesn't look human, but maybe that's intented. Her arms look too soft without real bones, her eyes are super high, her mouth super bulgy, her shoulders extremely muscular and her dress seems tto be connected to her skin.
Compared to the lady left, the contrast is so strong that the left lady reads way more like background, while it feels a spotlight is on the focal lady. The problem is that i cannot clearly say if she is an alien disguised as human (bc a clear giveaway is lacking for that), or if it's just a collection of unlucky tiny drawing problems.

Everything else is cool. I love the storytelling, the depth the expression of the 2 characters left. The background people, the ominous figure in the night.

Keep it up, you did a good job . The hardest with pixel art or any art in general is starting out. If you keep it up it's only natural that your art skills will grow, but consistency is the real key.
Whenever you try something new, it's more important to enjoy the ride and the challenge. After all its cool when there are a lot of fresh and exciting challenges and that's the part you should relish. Comparison is of course tempting, but Naturally there is quite a big difference in experience between people who create art for countless years and those who try a thing the first couple of times. Set a goal for yourself and achieve that, you did a 200x200 piece successfully and you should be proud of that.
