Just using that darker grey you have there for the AA should do it imo.

Vraiment chouette, dommage pour le what the à la fin qui ajoute pas grand chose et est visuellement pas très beau.... je l'enlèverai je crois pas que ça serve la pièce.

Mais bon boulot sinon.

Nice and effective design. I dig the colors.

Lots of great characters in there, the tiny fire and rock guys don't seem as dynamic as the rest though.

I hate the don't watch it if you don't like it argument. The fact that someone is discussing something shouldn't prevent you from enjoying it, it's important to keep a critical eye, a distance with what we watch, and to express, confront and developp our ideas. A TV serie should never be a touchy subject. It is the exact opposite in fact.

You've really improved since the last things you posted on here. Great job.

I love Henry Darger. There's something similar in the atmosphere of Balthus and Dana Schutz' works, who are amongst my favorite painters.

He is showing his teeth, that might be unclear but he has some sort of grin with a gap in the middle.

Thanks anyway.

oh shi-

guess I'm out then. Or would it be ok to edit it (change the lighter tone for pure white) at this stage ?

I just love that second form, the way the bodies are drawn is very dynamic and the overall idea is fantastic.

The bones on the third form seem flat and don't appear to really connect to each other, though.

Very efficient style, great colors. I like the small sprites better even than the portraits,

This is my favorite entry for that challenge and a great piece by itself.

Mille @ 10/1/2012 15:43 commented on Tattoo Girl

This has he potential to be a genuinely good piece but the good bits and details are a bit lost in an overall boring picture -with not so much going on in the background and the hair looking unfinished for example. This is a bit sad because the tattoos and face look great if you zoom in there (that baby and vagina skull are amazing). Maybe for a weekly challenge, with few time on your hands, a smaller but tighter piece would have been better... this lacks visual tension.

The anatomy doesn't bother me at all, I can see you were not aiming for neoclassic realism. Her right boob, the tatooed one however works better than the other one, simply because of the more contrasted shadow beneath it, which gives it some weight and depth. The left one looks flatter, kinda manly.

I really like Camel, never heard of the Turkish guy, I'll check him out.

Edit: oh and I meant pop as in popular music, I think it's been called pop at the time, maybe not in the way we mean pop today. I do dig the Kinks but I don't listen to them as much as I used to. I listenned to a lot of 60's garage like the Sonics, the Monks, the Seeds and the Countfive, don't really know why I stopped.

Mille @ 8/26/2012 17:07 commented on Big Bird

I've been obsessed with this lately, and other serial stuff like different trains.

Also some metal.

This and the Beach Boys, there's just something you can't beat in the Beach Boys, I eventually get tired of any other kind of pop rock listenning to it for a while... but a Beach Boys tune seems to never get out of ammo.

That tool for mirroring is pretty nice, we should use it for a sort of rorschach challenge in the forum. you do a random symetrical doodle and the next person draws something out of it, etc.

While you're right about that, he couldn't solve the problem that way because I'd mean move each item out of the template box even slightly... but the heart could be made a pixel less in length.

This said great job, great idea.

5/8 for that challenge, gee, no matter how much free time I have on my hands I always end up doing these on sunday night.

Still, there's so many cool entries for that challenge so far that I wanna be part of it.

Speaking of Graindolium, while more cohesive, his comments in french stay kind of random as well, so I dunno.
