CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	Yeah, I just noticed that too. Must've happened when I edited the post to include the challenge list. I think that also caused part of the thread title to get cut off, argh. e: fixed now. Oh jeez, every time I edit the post to complete the thread title, the thread gets unstickied, and every time I sticky the thread, the thread title gets cut off. 	Very nice challenge,i am register here only in semptember but i whatch most of challanges,i very liked (Game boy turn 20) i love old school and thats why i will try to make something from that challange here is a litle wip what i done a.t.m It will be game "Ghost of Sparta" i working at first screen now this i main character... Little edit,plz suggest background,i think to make something like graveyard... 	Also the Game Boy Turns 20 challenge. Just felt like making something like Zelda, since Nintendo really screwed it up with Spirit Tracks.

	My preference goes to challenges where you don't have to know the challenge theme to understand the piece. For instance, the Mixed Metaphors pieces can't really leave a life of their own without an explanation - however I had lots of fun with those submissions, great stuff too. I also dearly love palette challenges. Of those since I joined, my favs are Final Boss and Windows Se7en. I haven't looked at all those before yet, but The Magenta Challenge and The Tooth Fairy were top, both in theme and submissions. Probably no time this week to finish anything I previously had no time to finish. :(

	(Antome) plz tell me what dit you did,sow i can understand it.. its to blurry :( (sapphira83) Line art is great ;)but, when i draw buterffly try to draw to isometric, that have a look that they are flying... And how in this challenge will tell whos better if evryone doing diferent tasks...????

	@Agris, It is up to the members which piece they decide to vote for. This challenge is always a bit of a weird one; it's a little hard to compare, sure, but I think ultimately everyone is on the same playing field. Think of it as a big multiple choice challenge like the World Leader Caricature BTW, these were the winners for the last 2 years (Personally, I think they were fair choises): (1st place 2007) (2nd place 2008)

	Challenge: Heart Attack Horror This is what I have so far... The idea is that when you're alone at night the slightest noise can lead you to think there's some monster near you... Tempted to "animate" it so that the thing in the tree appears at some point instead of being there all along...

	@Sapphira - looking good so far, but don't forget you don't just have to use magentas. Have a look at how masterfully iLKke inserts other colours alongside the magentas. Also, I'm not to sure the dithering is really working in the head. @Bubu - I like the concept. I think the tree trunk is a but too wide at the top. The dithering around the moon seems a bit too high contrast, which makes the sky seem a bit brittle. Also, the Heart Attack Horror challenge doesn't allow for animation, I think this would be better without animation anyway. Maybe blend the monster into the tree a bit more to make it less obvious, so it isn't seen immediately when viewing the image; ie. "oh, hey there's a girl sitting th...HOLY CRAP THERE'S A MONSTER IN THE TREE" Edited by skamocore - 31 December 2009 at 4:43pm

	Alright thanks, so slim tree top down, less contrast in sky, and no animation (forgot to check if that was allowed thanks). Will try blending the monster in by making it darker and maybe making just the eyes pop out more than the rest... Thanks :)

	Ah yes, was aware of that, it's an area I was gonna rework (skin transition between v light and v dark), want to add more contrast there and generally around her face so she looks more scared than surprised :) changelog: changed monster palette to darker, more blended into tree colours more contrast in face changed moonshine to less bright and generally less saturated palette :) Edited by Bubu - 01 January 2010 at 6:15am

	Yup. AA, and less evenly spaced stars/sparkles. Maybe also some variation, at the moment there are only two types of stars/sparkles.

	Ok, if that is the case, I'll send it back for revision; please resubmit once you complete your entry. Also, you should have exactly 4 colours in each of your screenshots and ensure that you are using the correct colours from the palette: In the version you already submitted into the gallery you have 12 colours. Make sure you fix this before you resubmit k.
