alright kingofthetrolls here are some tips.
when the thing that crushes him comes down, make it faster, but keep it the same speed going up. this will give a sense of gravity.
add some lighter shine to the creature to make him look more slimy.
you also might want to make that explosion more clear.
also it looks like you might have reused the grass and stone from your avatar. remember that everything has to be made the week of the challenge.

i might enter thins one just for the challenge of animating a fluid creature. might be hard. and to make sure we can go anywhere below 80 by 100?

I've been trying to nail down the whole transparencty thing, and failing at it.  It's more difficult than i thought. Nice challenge.
I'm having trouble conveying trancelucency and depth in the smaller areas.  I have no idea how i'm going to handle the mouth and eyes. and the shins look horrible.

Hanny's Voorwerp.

Vertigo: you're making it too small, that's why it's hard. Make better use of the canvas.
FrostP: awesome!
Erowel: good start, I like the simple shape.

I started it without seeing the maximum size, btw that's the WIP:

I am making it smaller now, and don't worry, I'll modify the eyes.

The initial idea is of a "Leaf Village conch" (referencing Naruto anime), and it will make a very slow Jutsu. If someone has a good idea about this, tell me. =D

(And sorry for my bad english)

This is supposed to be an original creature. You copied a real animal, the blobfish.

Good catch HCGamer.
Jaker Pot please adjust to create an original creature. Being inspired by a blobfish is cool but make an original creature...on the bright side, this solves your whole pallete question

Hum, ok, sorry =p
I will do a new one, no prob :)

What do you mean Jalonso? Should i do it brighter? I'm looking for a style that can merge blue, green and pink, that's why it is so 'clean'.
I don't really know what to do.
Something like this
or this but smooth like this
Not talking about quality, just about smoothness and color combination (you can't play the 'fool' right?)

Its no big deal or a problem if you misunderstood the rules call for creating an original creature. What I meant was that now that you have to modify the art itself the color palette is not yet important.
If you want its skin to have many colors like a shell has or a pearl you'll most likely want to use a lot of dithering so you can smoothly change from one color to another. Using a neutral color will help, see the feature interview with adarias to further understand this or check out what Jinn does with dithering...©Dithergasmic.

Well that's all about color choices mostly but the first 2 depend on dithering to further combine colors. Why don't you work on your piece so it fit the rules and lay in colors that are near the shades you want to have and roughly where they will go. Post it here (or make a WIP thread) and I'll help you develop the palette for it :)

(not tonight tho, I'm off to bed soon...tomorrow.)

_hey! you're the underwater forest guy, hehe. You pixel well but as you know its your color sense and color selection that seems to be the biggest obstacle for you.

You have never done anything 'wrong'. You are new to pixelart, Pixeljoint and the ways of the pixel and are going thru what everyone else has who enjoys pixelart and wishes to improve has to. Everything in life has a learning curve and whether you go slow or quick nothing is wrong as long as you behave and respect others, which you do. We all like helping and supporting each other...really :)
I generally hate going OT but I'll make an exception here:
You try and try and on that alone I respect you. However, you are slightly spastic and still run on the quantity vs. quality. Not anyone else's quality but your own quality as it is today. Pixelart by its nature is a detailed activity, rushing pixelart when you are new to it is a stumbling block. Patience is the key to it, you have yet to make this discovery. Taking some care to choose colors is important too when Pixelart is about low color counts, not every green is the right green. You have to experiment and try new things all the time. All these hurdles should be a fun learning process. Until you make some of these leaps in progress you may encounter resistance and rejection. Ignore it and move on taking knowledge with every piece. You'll get there if you try. We have all been there.

No! Not a JPEG!

Also, way too many colors and that background should probably be transparent, since it doesn't do anything for the piece.

What yah's think? The hole is meant to be a mouth and the orb was originally going to be an eye but the pupil made it look horrid.
I'm not too good and I just got my net back again.

Oh and I didn't dither, In fact I used no single pixels what-so-ever all pixels are attached to at least one other of the same colour.
The world is but a shadow of emotion, cast in shades of grey.

Thanks. I agree, it doesn't look slimy enough, so I added a bit of slime dripping down from it's body (Sexy, eh?). I also agree with the whole lower body being visible, however I'm trying to figure out how to do that. =P

Anyways, here is the current one:

I will be updating my gallery as I go along.

Edit - kinda like this, maybe?

Edit 2 - Here is the most current one.

Maybe use purples for the Bg and make the talk bubble white. Substitute the black for a dark blueish purple thats desaturated.

I changed the colors a tad, and made another slime creature. (I still need to add a fork though.)

(too lazy to add a detailed background to the second one)
