Draconus was one of my favorite Atari 8-bit games - just loved the atmosphere of it, and the title music was amazing. I always thought the remake should be darker and more along the lines of a "sunken temple of the Elder ones" looking, and not bright, cheery and with demoscene fonts on the hud - but that's my personal opinion.

This is a weird piece, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. On one hand - it certainly has nice colors, but the dithering is making it unnecessarily grainy. The dragon design is interesting, but the pose is highly unnatural. The hud design is also kind of mehh - cluttered and unappealing. There are priority issues between character and background, and the diagonal planks over the pits look just kinda lame.

Overall though, this shot reminds me of the Atari ST port of Jim Power.

Dude - I was blown away by the demo of this game when I played it years ago, but I see it was abandoned for some reason... will the world ever find out what happend to it?

Though I like many things about this piece, such as the palette, the rendering of the chain and the overall composition, there are about as many things I don't like (totally fudged anatomy [despite being a cartoon, there's still gotta be a figure in there somewhere], and the face, which isn't sufficiently cute to be chibi, making her look like a midget)

Errmm.. Not sure if I like it much. He does some pretty counter-intuitive, not to mention physically impossible things with the weapon and his limbs alike. The angle and trajectory of the weapon changes too drasticly near the end, and his knee just shoots out at the end for no reason at all...

This is SO Amiga-ish! Colors and rendering style remind me of Darkmere/Stormlord (both Mark K. Jones games). Some details of the dragon are less than perfectly readable, but otherwise - freaking brilliant!

Yeah - I know - I might try to fix that arm, as it's a purely technical issue. Larger issues, like lack of dynamic posing which is a consequence of the piece being drawn without any planning will probably have to stay

The pixel technique here is pretty cool, the drawing itself, however is pretty scary-looking. Different parts of her face appear to be misaligned - the lips especially. The face looks swollen and lumpy because of that.

Not to be a anatomy Nazi, but.. yeah - her anatomy is ALL messed up. Her torso is about twice the length it should be. Her legs connect to... I don't think they connect to anything - it's possible they just grow out of the ground. her neck appears to be broken in at least two places, and she has an additional joint between her elbow and her wrist.
Try sketching your people out as simple stick figures and more complex box models before adding all the detail. Also - try to keep the dithering consistent, if you insist on using it in the first place.

Edit: Wow - this came out WAY harsher than I intended to sound - sorry about that.

I love these! One nitpick would be about the big goon - he looks slightly off-balance. Maybe move his 'near' leg back a bit? Otherwise - awesome!... ohh and the preview is seizure-inducing: )
