I don't take commissions, but I've been known to take requests from time to time, although it has to strike me as something that would be fun to do, and even then it'll take a while before I get around to it, if I ever do. So feel free to send me a private message, but the most likely answer is "I'll think about it".

good call about the hand wrinkles. somewhere in my mind i knew this unconsciously, but ignored it for this drawing for some reason. it's easier to omit them so i should be more willing to do that in the future.

it is a lot of colors for a piece that doesn't even have AA, but it's very nice still, and the fact that you drew a background imo justifies having a higher number of colors. i like it a lot.

wow, great feedback all around. nice catch in particular about the unshaded parts, i totally failed to notice them. i tweaked the color of the golden dots on the cowl too, but am not sure about a highlight, i think you're probably right that it would help but i'd rather not change too much to what is in my mind a finished piece. i'll keep it in mind next time i draw something like that though.

thanks, i try. i have good periods and bad periods, but i have been on a real streak lately. it'll probably be a bit before i post another tho, gotta go to a conference for work.

waa oops thanks for catching that!!

thanks! it feels like i'm still using a bit of a poop-load of colors though. would like to get better at keeping a more limited palette on AAed pieces.

I use photoshop so I'm sure there's a symmetry ruler. I'd need to learn how to use it though. But that might be worthwhile to avoid these sorts of mistakes. Good idea.

you're very nice. i like your art too!

yeah ... i noticed the wonky eye a while after posting, it's not intentional. i might try and fix it at some point.

thanks. i ended up pushing past the tedium of AA in my most recent work (you've seen that one, though ), not sure how often i'll do full-AA like that although it was sort of fun to get in the zone with it.

thank you for the kind words!

Thanks! Do you mean the one-pixel lines? Or more generally the line art? If the former, it's is something I've been working on, and I think it came out good in this piece.

Thanks! I'm actually in the Discord, although I wasn't at the time when I drew this.

yeah the lack of outlines is mostly a style thing, although i think there are probably a few places it could use them. (thanks for the very nice complement too)

I wish I could dither this well. Great piece with cool vibes too!

user

I see, so some of the areas have colors that need separating, and some parts look flat, and I should try using outlines to solve this?

That's good feedback. If you have an idea of which areas you feel are problematic, I'd appreciate it, but no worries if not, you've given enough help as-is. My guess is the face looks flat, and the light hair color blends into the light skin color. I can see that's an issue, at least.

I don't generally use outlines as you can see, and when I use them in only a few places it tends to look weird, I worry. That said, I used outlines in some of my recent pieces (the two nudes I have up) and it worked well there.

holy crap this is incredibly cool, both in concept and execution.

yes, it's my oc, her name is kara (and i have a few drawings of her in my gallery). can you elaborate on what you mean about the outlines? i don't understand.

thanks for the complements!! and you're right, i messed up the shading on that strap, oof. if i come back to this piece that'd be something to fix

user

Yeah that's probably true, thanks. I'm definitely still getting a feel for when to use it and when not.
