	Lex_2005 @ 3/15/2006 12:18 commented on GBA game mockup Thanks all for your C+C. -DE- is right, when I tried to draw the tree in "full" colors it took the eyes away from the central point of the screen, and it's not good for the game play. Jalonso if you look closer you can still see some pixels that creates a really slighty volume effect (mostly on the tree basis), instead of just dark area. I'll correct her arms and improve other things. I'd also like to ask everyone if you think this game worth a release? I'm currently drawing the sprites and the game environment but would like to know the opinion of people before I'll work further on it. I'm not a pixelart professional yet, but I hope that by working on it I'll get more skills and the game will look a lot better when finished :)

I also like more 2D games on small devices and I hope they will exist too, but with new capabilities of the phones some guy at IGN said that it will change in 6 or 12 months, I just don't want them to disapear from the market like MS-DOS games did (not at 100% though).

The laser beam were done using opacity, but everything under the beam were painted pixel by pixel. Is that bad? :( I could have done it manually but I guess it would give same result. You're right I could do more AA in some places, especially on the jeans and the shirt, the watch looks crap and needs some corrections too, but I'm too lazzy to correct it now :o I'll rather try to bring another piece with more AA and stuff, altrough I don't have any idea on what to pixel next. Thanks all for helpful comments and happy pixeling to everyone :) P.S: I'm really not a fan of the show, cannot say it's crap because it's a good artistic, technic and team work, just drew the personnage because I like shojo and shonen art style :)

As you've seen I was inspired from Kenneth Fejer works, but I cannot still understand some of his technics, especially about hairs. The picture were kinda antialised on a black background that's why the outline looks like this, but yes it can be done a lot better. I'm going to take a look at the link you gave to understand it more in details.
