Obviously you've got way more robocop experience than me.

Your edit makes it look now like robocop :D Next time I will stick to reference better. Didnt know a few things you mentioned. Thanks.

Marvellous pixels. Remembers me of Truxton. Cool!

You are a NES master, sir. I really like everything here. Excellent use of color and sizes, not too big, not too small and as restricted as possible.

I have tried NES restrictions myself and it really limits you... So chapeau!

Magnificent. The image really makes one want to play. Beautiful background. I really like the "legend of kage" style trees. :D

Thank you felchqueen. Yes there are mistakes here and there, too much dithering is something I have to work on because I dither unconsciously My pixels would be better with more plane shadows. Anatomy of course has its flaws... as always practice :D

Really masterful pixelart.

Yes That is the thing... the original sprites doesnt resemble the box and poster character (but they are really well done too). So I imagined it a bit more like in the box art. Of course, It can be made a lot more realistic... but this is actually my limit and I cant do it better :D

very cool. Just perfect.

Retro doesn't limit. I think limits actually are good because for example if you work at a limit size its like a grid. And a grid makes you work bounded by it and its not like drawing were you have infinite variable lines and its more difficult (as I see it). The same can be said of color limitation :D.

Good work :D

I like the clean look of it. Very well done :D

Exceptional use of colour. Isnt it cool that the CpC didnt have sprite/scanline  limits like other machines and allowed to use the full 27 color palette? quite a feat. (if I am not mistaken).

Really vibrant colors and good use of sizes (but I like big sprites, as you know).

a pleasure to learn form you :D

sorry to be late to comment. Your skill at NES and amstrad (and everything) is fantastic. I am in awe as how good you can make the nes or amstrad look, always... :D

Did you know there is a lot of revival of retro games at kickstarter? IF I were you I would do a game or two... you should be rewarded by doing what you do...

Cheers... fantastic work.

Thanks Carnivac... your version is of incredible quality for an amstrad computer!! this piece has got about 2 years thats why its so empty. I didnt put too much effort appart from looking up master system version (you know megadrive is too much for and 8 bit computer to emulate... well that was before looking at your version! good!). I started pixeling seriously recently and before all my pixel works (like this one) where not very serious. I see dithering is avoided by a lot of artists. I always try to use minimal dither because sometimes it doesnt look bad.

Thank you!

jocastus, yes... xD its just practice, actually next time I do some pose I will try to do it in a logic "action" pose. I see the whip is in a hitting pose and the sprite is like walking :D as you can see its just a pretty ilogic pose... but well its just a practice. Thanks.

Carnivac: I am just a newbie at pixel. I come from 3d. I am learning to use palettes in gimp... I will see if I can find a way to reduce colors before saving. used just standard png. Didnt know it had so much colours. Sorry I will try to fix when I can. Thanks.

edit. I am actually editing colors. will leave it at 16 colors. Found a way to fix the problem using indexed colors in gimp makes the personal palette used in the image. Thanks!

I think that is because I am learning. I think I Used too much jitter and transparency and less solid colors. no prob. Next time will try to improve. Thanks.
