Pick one of Arachne's linearts shown in the challenge thread and colour it (don't forget, colouring also means texture/shading etc... too!). Also, make sure you give your newly coloured creature a background.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
as much as i love arachne's linearts, i may have to pass on this challenge i would had worked on this yesterday, but got asked out lol.
Meh, linearts are cool but some of them have absolutely no canvas space :(
@Hatch - Quite likely, yes.
@Jeremy - NZ wasn't even good enough for convicts o:
Quite possibly, they're all descended from convicts y'kow D:
They should all drop 'U's from the language and spell things with too many 'Z's

I'm an American and so am frightened by foreign cultures. In fact... are you by any chance a terrorist?
Well...yes, is this a problem?
The spelling of the word 'colour' is determined by whoever wrote the challenge; in this case it was written by me, and being an Australian I naturally used the Australian English spelling. Both spellings (color and colour) can be considered equally correct, so whichever the writer considers to be correct is the one which is used.
Anyway, apologies if my usage of the letter 'u' has offended anyone (!)
already started att this, is it okay to do small changes in the lineart like add things or what?
I'm going to give this one a shot... I figure as long as I avoid pillow shading I'll be doing pretty well. :)
It's certainly going to be weird to see a lot of the same creatures showing up in the gallery this week. I've always been a fan of her work.
Can I shrink the SIZE of the monster, but maintain the canvas size? As it is right now, the monsters are really big for the canvas size to allow much background....unless that's the point of the challenge heh
Each of those are very well created! Nice characters indeed!
If you have to make a background, it is very annoying that the creature would have to stay that centered. Why are we not allowed to enlarge the canvas? :(
Quit spamming, omgfossil.
