@ptoing: Haha, you noticed that :D Well, then the portraits would e either 33 or 31 pixels wide, and WE DON'T WANT THAT in a 'game', do we? As far as symmetry goes, I know some ppl are allergic to it, but while doing this, more oft than not I found that it overcomplicated things on the thumbnails, and symmetry gives it more of a 'gamey' look (like, saving memory and stuff ;) But you're probably right.

Anyone got some ideas for names of the other characters? :)

I really like this loads, very reminiscent of Dan Malone stuff :)

My only crits are that you could have made the faces asymmetrical, a little scar here, a cigar there, stuff like that. Also *nitpick alert* it slightly put me off when i realised that the portaits are not centered :D

As for the colors it's almost the same palette as on nuskool mockups.

um.. in my humble opinion some of the 'other' characters are kind of rushed.

other than that I love it. The dr dick character sure will get lots of positive feedback, but the great font and layout should not be overlooked :)
