Using flowing lines, organic shapes, and nature-inspired motifs (flower, vines) draw a figure with elaborate hair on detailed frame, inspired by artists Alphonse Mucha.

You have to use the HILDA32 palette by skeddles

Canvas Size – Open (but it has to be a long, vertical canvas).
Colours – Max 32 (33 if you use transparency).
Transparency - Optional (but remember, this is not a sprite challenge, you need to have a background with a decorative frame, you can use the transparency if you want to have an arched background or other weird shapes).
Animation - Forbidden.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

It's an aniamted sprite challenge.

Draw everyday modern object as a mimic. Animate its transformation from unassuming object into mimic. Hint: ever heard of “toilet mimic” ?

As usual lately, it is the continuation of a perfect collaboration between TIpleloop, who is doing 99% of the hard work, and me, who just type the text into PJ, choose the palette, and click one button.

This week's palette will be DS-34 Palette by Hector Gonzalez because I love DS games and they have mimics there.

Canvas Size – Max 100x100px.
Colours – Max 34 (use the palette).
Transparency - Required.
Animation - Required.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.

Welcome to this new column in our news in which we will be writing about the state of the currently running (or recently closed collabs).

We've been running Isometric collabs since 2011, and the currently running mISOlogy is the 11'th edition. While progress has been overal slow, the pace has started to pick up again this spring so now is a good time to jump on.

You can join here on the forum.

The annual Group Picture collab is also about mythological creatures, and you can read its rules here. You can also check list of already finished creatures if you want to see what's not been claimed yet, or just to see the finished entires. As all Group Picture Collabs it will end up on WePixel.

The tarot collab, spawned from a popular weekly challenge, is already 4 years old but it is almost done. Currently it is most convenient to join on discord where you can also read the rules in a pinned post. If you're not on discord but want to join anyway there is a somewhat neclected forum thread as well, but don't expect quick replies there. You can view all the finished cards here, and rumors has it that a WePixel gallery is in the works as well.

The last and newest collab you can join now is Pixel Puzzle, and you can only participate on discord.

Quote of the Moment

Tonight, we gather to affirm the greatness of our nation - not because of the height of our skyscrapers, or the power of our military, or the size of our economy. Our pride is based on a very simple premise, summed up in a declaration made over two hundred years ago.
